We travel extensively and rely heavily on TripAdvisor ratings, especially when a service provider has a high rating with an exceptional number of reviewers. Thus, how we selected Travel Around Jamaica Tours.
We decided very late the night prior to try and schedule service with Travel Around Jamaica Tours upon our arrival at the port in Falmouth for the next morning. Andrea, the owner, was exchanging emails with me well after midnight to coordinate arrangements and we were successful in doing so. Our driver (Garnet) and his amazingly pleasant associate (Rochelle) were prompt in meeting us (both times as we took a round trip ride with them) and we had an enjoyable experience.
It’s a rare day that I lose or misplace something, however, about 10 minutes after the van dropped us off the first time I realized I was missing a US$100 bill and my ship ID card. I called Andrea to see if it had dropped inside the car when I removed my cell from my pocket. Andrea called back within 10 minutes to advise they found my money and ID under the seat where I was sitting. On the return trip they had my money and ID waiting for me.
Let me sum this up: an honest company and honest employees with personable and prompt customer service. They have earned and deserve their 5 star rating with TripAdvisor.

We just took a vacation last week to the Hilton Rose Hall in Montego Bay. Having booked our trip by ourselves (airfare and hotel separate) we were scared by friends that a taxi was not safe. So we sought out and arranged our airport to hotel and back transfer with Travel Around Jamaica. It was perfect! The driver was waiting to us even when our flight was early, and they promptly picked us up on time to go back to the airport. They drive safely too! This always worries me traveling with my kids. No speeding and no tailing the cars in front of us. Much different than our experiences in Mexico and in Punta cana. Our driver was waiting for us as we exited the airport. He was extremely pleasant and on our short 15 minute ride to our hotel, he acted as a tour guide and told us about some of the businesses and restaurants along the route. I would definitely use this company again.

Great company! My friend was held up in customs, and we ended up being an hour later than our requested time. Our driver waited for us, and did not complain about us being so late. The trip itself was fine, and the booking process was easy.

As always, Andrea went above and beyond to make sure our transportation arrangements were perfect. We spoke with Andrea a few days before our departure, she made all the arrangements within minutes. It was quick, easy, and comfortable as always! As soon as we got in the van, an email came from Andrea to make sure we were in and on our way! The weather was great and the journey to our resort was quick. Always on time, great service, and always a pleasure to work with. Thank you so much Andrea! We can't wait to come back again soon!

Excellent value, friendly service, plenty of room...
I arranged a private transfer from the airport in Montego Bay to our resort in Negril (and back) for my family of four during March break in 2018. The driver was waiting for us as we exited the airport and we were pleased to see that we had a passenger van all to ourselves (i.e. plenty of room for us and our luggage). The drivers were very friendly, accommodating, and happy to point out landmarks and talk about their island and its heritage. On our return trip to Montego Bay, the driver arrived at our resort a few minutes early and we made it to the airport with plenty of time to spare. I compared several transfer services before booking and Travel Around Jamaica was the most economical with very positive feedback from customers. I highly recommend their private transfers.

Our airport transfer to and from our Ocho Rios hotel by Garnet and Andrea was professional and timely. I am so glad we paid for the private transfer which took about 1 1/2 hours instead of taking the hotel shuttle which stops at various hotels and takes 2 1/2 to 3 hours. The vehicles were clean and safe. Worth every dollar spent!
